meet the coaches
Rachel stelter
Rachel is the current program head coach for Episcopal High School and the founder of HSS. In 2024, she led the team to their first state championship in program history and was awarded the Chronicle Coach of the Year. Originally from Southern California, Rachel moved to The Woodlands, Texas when she was 12. She grew up playing for Challenge Soccer Club and went to The John Cooper School. She played soccer at Davidson College (Steph Curry with the shot) from 2011-2015. After she graduated with a degree in Psychology, she went on to play professionally in Prague, France, and most recently Rachel found herself back home with the Houston Dash. She has won both UWS & WPSL National Championships. During her career, Rachel has battled through multiple injuries including 3 knee surgeries and an ankle reconstruction. She was selected by the Women’s Sports Foundation as a grant recipient and now serves as an athlete ambassador. While playing professionally, she partnered with the ministry organization, Ambassadors Football, and went on a professional tour to Mexico. While there, Rachel realized her life-long dream is to use soccer as a platform in kids lives and went on to found Houston Soccer School. At the end of 2019, Rachel retired from professional soccer. She served as a program coordinator for Soccer Shots Houston before moving to Episcopal High School. Rachel is a self-proclaimed Settlers of Catan champion and if she could eat at any Houston restaurant it would be Aladdin Mediterranean for dinner and a vegan chocolate chip cookie from Tout Suite for dessert.
Bianca Henninger
An NWSL veteran, Bianca played with the Houston Dash since the club’s inaugural season (2014) - that is 7 seasons, people! It is safe to say she now considers Houston her second home. Bianca has played professionally overseas for powerhouse clubs Bayern Munich in Germany’s Bundesliga and Melbourne Victory in Australia’s W-League. A dual citizen, Bianca played for the Mexican National Team from 2014-2018 and was a United States Youth National Team Player from 2004-2013. While representing the US at the U-20 Women’s World Cup, Bianca received the adidas Golden Glove Award. For college, she attended Santa Clara University from 2008-2011 and graduated with a degree in Accounting. As a Bronco, she was an NSCAA First Team All-American (2010) and Third Team All-American (2011). Even more, Bianca has overcome multiple surgeries during her playing career. Her shoe game is off the charts and if she could eat at any Houston restaurant it would be either Pit Room or North Italia. A California native, Bianca most recently moved to Los Angeles (but, Go Warriors!). As a co-founder of GEG soccer camps, she will still be an instrumental part of these camps. While she will not be in person coaching, she will be running our social media, planning the camp, and participate in the talks with campers via zoom.
