Rachel FOX

Rachel is the founder of Houston Soccer School and the former Head Coach of the Episcopal High School girls’ soccer program, where she also taught AP Psychology. In 2024, she led Episcopal to the first state championship in program history and was named the Houston Chronicle Coach of the Year. Two years later, she guided the program to its second state championship and was named State Coach of the Year by United Soccer Coaches. Originally from Southern California, Rachel moved to The Woodlands at age 12, played for Challenge Soccer Club, attended The John Cooper School, and went on to play Division I soccer at Davidson College from 2011–2015. She played professionally in Prague, France, and Houston. In 2018, she partnered with the ministry organization, Ambassadors Football, and went on a professional tour to Mexico. While there, Rachel realized her life-long dream is to use soccer as a platform in kids lives and went on to found Houston Soccer School. She wants players to experience true belonging—the kind that doesn’t require them to change who they are to fit in—and to discover the courage to show up fully as themselves, take risks, work through failure, and grow alongside others. Away from the field, Rachel loves adventuring with her husband and their daughter, Eloise, and is always up for a game of pickleball or a good puzzle.

MEGAN Kinneman

Megan Kinneman is a former professional soccer player and experienced collegiate coach dedicated to developing confident, well-rounded athletes through the game of soccer. A standout goalkeeper at LSU, Megan went on to play professionally for the Houston Dash and Arna-Bjørnar in Norway before transitioning into coaching. Over eight years as a collegiate coach at UNC Greensboro, LSU, and Rice University, she helped her teams capture four conference championships and advance to the second round and Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. For Megan, soccer has always been about more than what happens on the field—it has been a vehicle for adventure, connection, personal growth, and embracing challenges that shape who you become. In 2017, she participated in Equal Playing Field’s world-record highest-altitude soccer match on Mount Kilimanjaro. Today, Megan coaches with a player-centered, strength-based approach, creating an environment where players are challenged, supported, and encouraged to take ownership of their development. Away from the field, Megan loves spending time with her family at the river, taking outdoor trips with friends and is always up for a good puzzle.
